Cambria Suites Hotel

Pueblo’s ever-growing Downtown events, such as the popular Chile and Frijole Festival and the Professional Bull Riders’ Wild, Wild West Fest, have increased the number of visitors to Pueblo.  The 164-room Marriot as the only Downtown hotel left many out-of-town visitors looking elsewhere for accommodations.  At the same time, the Pueblo Convention Center struggled to attract medium-sized conferences because of the lack of Downtown beds.

PURA took notice and worked to secure a developer to build an additional hotel in Downtown Pueblo in 2007.  PURA provided developer Avik Amin $ 1 million to build the Cambria Suites Hotel on Santa Fe Avenue with the hope that event goers would stay overnight and that the Pueblo Convention Center could attract new groups.  In Fall 2008, the state-of-the-art hotel was completed, eliminating blight on Santa Fe Avenue and providing rooms to keep visitors in the area.

This hotel is now known as the Springhill Suites Hotel.
